Hillingdon Hospital Ward Refurbishment

QLL was appointed as the main contractor for the refurbishment and fire compliance project at Hillingdon Hospital’s Tower Block. The initial stage of the project involved the complete strip-out of all existing fabric and making good. Subsequently, we completed the refurbishment and renewal of the floors, walls, and ceiling finishes, all while ensuring minimal disruption to the live ward environment.

Our team installed new mechanical and facilitating services to support medical equipment, and we also supplied and installed new FD 60 doors with glazing vision panels, fire-resisting frames, architraves, intumescent smoke seals/strips, and ironmongery to enhance fire safety compliance.

Despite the challenges of working during the COVID-19 pandemic, our team managed multiple stakeholders, including hospital attendees, staff, and facilities managers. We delivered the works within the projected timeline and client budget, which was achieved through meticulous project planning and efficient execution. We take pride in our ability to complete the project to the highest standards of quality and safety while working in a live healthcare environment.
