Home Comforts

Quinn London’s Property Services division joined forces with Peabody to breathe new life into a domestic abuse refuge in London. Over two days in early March, our dedicated team volunteered their time to support Peabody’s Home Comforts program, refurbishing two communal spaces within the refuge.

The Home Comforts project was set up to help survivors of domestic abuse feel more at ease when having to flee to a refuge, which can be a time of great uncertainty and trepidation. Little changes such as  making the refuge’s communal areas more welcoming, can go a long way when  helping new people to settle in.

Under the skilled hands of eight team members from Quinn London, the refuge’s two communal rooms underwent a transformation alongside new additional furniture being added.

Both residents and staff at the refuge expressed their gratitude towards the team and their efforts in revamping the space.

“The refurbished communal spaces have truly improved our refuge. It feels like a brighter and safer place for me and my children”.  – Resident

“As someone who works closely with the residents, I can see the positive impact these renovations have had on their well-being.” – Staff Member

Quinn London is extremely grateful for the opportunity to volunteer it’s time into such a great cause and are looking forward to future opportunities which continue to uplift and support the community’s we work in.
