Medical Equipment Decontamination Unit, first of its kind in the UK

11 June, 2020

Our Central London Division have been working closely with Great Ormond Street Hospital to create a Medical Equipment Decontamination Unit (MEDU) with carefully separated clean and dirty areas.

The MEDU unit is the first of its kind in the UK and will set a benchmark for other trusts to follow in the future. The decontamination unit uses a hydrogen peroxide vapor to decontaminate medical equipment so that it is quickly sterilised for use.

This is the second project that we have completed with GOSH, and we look forward to working with them on additional schemes in the future.
