Preventing the spread of infections, we continue to follow government guidelines and Construction Leadership Council (CLC) Site Operating Procedures. The following preventative measures have been adopted by QLL to minimise the risk of exposure:
- Where possible we have asked employees to work from home
- Hand sanitiser stations have been established at all office and site entrances. Those entering the working area are to utilise the sanitiser prior to entering the premises.
- Increased cleaning practices both on-site and in offices, including daily disinfection.
We recognise that COVID-19 has and likely will continue to cause a rise in import and purchase prices. Following recommendation of industry advisors, we have worked with our key supply partners to forecast and factor such impacts into our programmes of works.
When establishing programmes of work, we are working with our supply partners to identify products and factor risks into our programmes and ability to supply. Examples may include fluctuations in lead-times and ability to pass customs.
We have engaged with our approved providers to forecast impacts of COVID-19 on materials and supplies and develop mitigation measures.
Whilst impact is largely dependent upon what material commodity or area of our supply chain we are looking at, QLL and our supply partners are well prepared for potential impacts due to our previous research and contingency plans.
We hope that everyone is keeping well during these difficult times, as an industry we must pull together to overcame the issues raised by COVID-19 and we look forward to coming through the other side of this virus together.
