Since its reopening in 2008, this hostel for the homeless has achieved global recognition for its on-site facilities. Featuring stunning timber windows and oak flooring, the refurbishment used carefully selected, local authority-approved materials to complement the existing brick and stonework. As well as creating a new entrance area, 53 new en-suite rooms and a rear extension, we undertook complete rewiring and heating and an overhaul of the existing lift. This Victorian Grade II listed building now even boasts a recording studio which has allowed some residents to achieve a qualification in sound recording.
