Children’s Book Project – Bringing Literacy to Life

Quinn London is proud to have partnered with the Children’s Book Project, a fantastic charity dedicated to tackling book poverty. In the UK, 1 in 6 children do not own a book or have regular access to literature, something we’re determined to help change.

At the start of 2025, we set ourselves the ambitious goal of collecting 5,000 books by World Literacy Day, Monday 8th September 2025. Thanks to the hard work and generosity of our teams, supply chain, and wider network, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve exceeded that target with over 6,500 books donated. As recognition of this achievement, Quinn London has been named an official Bronze Member of the Children’s Book Project.

A Team Effort

This milestone would not have been possible without the support of our fantastic supply chain partners:

  • W. Portsmouth and FES, who each sponsored a primary school in Hackney and Islington as part of their Borough Champion commitments. Every child in these schools will now receive two books per term throughout the year.

  • Alchemy Energy Partners, based at our head office, who supported with sorting and distributing donations.

  • St Bernadette Catholic Primary School, who joined us in packing and preparing books for delivery.

To continue our support for the Children’s Book Project, we’ve installed public donation boxes at several Quinn London locations, including the Homerton NEC site, London Metropolitan University and both our Mill Hill and Greek Street offices. These ensure the flow of donations continues throughout the year. We estimate that this initiative will benefit around 1,000 children, helping to open doors to learning, creativity, and imagination.

At Quinn London, we believe every child deserves the opportunity to dream, learn, and grow and that books are one of the most powerful tools to make that happen. We’re incredibly proud of what has been achieved and look forward to building on this partnership in the years ahead!
