Hillingdon Hospital Ward Refurbishment
CLIENT: Hillingdon Hospital Trust
VALUE: £4.6m
QLL was appointed to deliver refurbishment and fire compliance works at Hillingdon Hospital, Tower Block. Initially, the project involved the strip out of all existing fabric and making good. Following on from the initial strip out we completed refurbishment and renewal of floors, walls and ceiling finishes. With all work taking place in a live ward environment.
The works involved the provision of new services to support medical equipment, including mechanical and facilitating services. We also supplied and installed new FD 60 doors with glazing vision panels, fire-resisting frames, architraves, intumescent smoke seals/strips, and ironmongery.
Aside from delivering the works within a live healthcare setting and during the COVID pandemic, our team also managed a network of stakeholders which incorporated hospital attendees, staff, and facilities managers.
The ward refurbishment works were delivered in line with the projected timeline and client budget.
