Surrey Square School dining pavilion has been commended at both the 2011 Civic Trust Awards Ceremony and as a runner up in the 2011 RICS London Awards!

Works started on site in September 2009. The structure of this innovative new subterranean dining pavilion consists of a shallow 16m domed dining hall with curved perimeter retaining walls, constructed from in-situ concrete.

As well as creating an enhanced dining environment for the children, the building's green roof also serves as an exciting new addition to their playground. The project was delivered on time in May 2010 and within budget at £912,000.
