Last weekend was the grand opening of our Six Acre estate development with the London Borough of Islington. Despite the cold windy day the event was well attended with the The Mayor of Islington and MP Theresa Debono both providing speeches and the inaugural ribbon cutting.
We are really proud of this development which will help provide much needed safe playing areas for children on the estate. The regeneration of this area included a number of much needed changes that will help to benefit the community as a whole. Including, improved security lighting, installation of CCTV cameras, new planting and lawns, paving and road resurfacing and new bin and cycle storage.
A particular feature of the development was the Elliptical bench designed by Tristan Surtees and Charles Blanc, the resident comments were extremely positive and it was great to see the bench officially in use for the first time.
Quinn was on hand to discuss the development with residents and share a few stories on how the development took shape. Big thanks LB of Islington for an excellent day.
